Carmen is an actress, art gallery registrar, and visual artist. She starred in various films, the TV Series Dark Waters of Crime, which was nominated for a Leo Award for Best Documentary Series. She also starred in a few short films, including Rebecca, Necromance and Woman Waiting, a short film that won several awards and was nominated for a Grand Jury Award for Best Narrative Short, along with the Golden Bear Nomination for Best Short Film at the Berlin International Film Festival and screened at 17 film festivals worldwide including the Toronto International Film Festival and South by Southwest. She is a graduate from the acting program at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and has a BFA in Visual Arts from the University of Victoria.
